STOP SUPPRESSION OF DEMOCRATIC VOICES

It gives me a feeling of the shadow of the Emergency rule introduced in India in1975 by the late Indira Gandhi not for anything but only to protect her from the dismissal of her parliamentary seat that she won thru fraudulent methods. Because she won that seat against Raj Narin by committing a breach, Justice Sinha of Alahbad High Court passed his verdict  unseating her from that seat. Though this cunning lady projected herself as the champion of democracy and promoter of the voice of one's consicence, regretfully refused to accept the verdict of the judiciary and  like a coward converted herself into a Hitler, suppressed all the constitutional rights of the citizens including the right to oppose the supression of one's rights to reject the cruel decisions and thus introduced an Emergency Rule in India.  Thus democracy was replaced by the dictatorship for the pure lust for power. The greater target of this Emmrgency was the suppresion of one's voice to express oneself against the injustice. To silence their voices big - big leaders, intellectuals and activists were imprisoned, some were found dead while young Engineering student Rajan by  name from Kerala was taken to the prison and from there neither his body nor his soul were found.

Now in front of our eyes Silencing the voice of  truth is become common since activists were arrested, first was  recently Sudeep Dalvi, 4 days back it was Walter Lobo and one more person. There may be more too. Is this the system of draconian laws that we wanted and for this did our elders fought against the  colonialists and drove them out of our land?

We boast ourselves as the greatest democracy in the world and we on the other hand kill democratic voices in our land by arresting those who are expressing their rights to voice their conscience freely in a democratic manner.

Jayprakash Narayan in 1975 gave a call to the security personnel not to obey the autocratic instruction of  Indira Ghandi and yet he is still considered a great patriot of India after Gandhiji.  This JP did to stop the unnecessary arrest of the democrats in India who were facing lot of problems from Mrs. Ghandi while they were expressing their views.  Is something like that is going to happen again in 2020?

Where are our Freedom Fighters gone now?  How can they be  the silent spectators to the suppression of the voices of activists in Goa?

Then where are the non-ruling parties gone? Why are they keeping their silence?

Suppressing the democratic voices of the activists by arresting them is the greatest injustice on democracy and such injustices suit only the dictators like Salazar, Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Indira Ghandi.
