This refers to the Interview of Vijay Sardesai on his 50th birthday, published in Herald of 14.06.20, also of his plea asking forgiveness for his support to BJP. While wishing him, though belatedly, a very happy 50th birthday, I like to quote George Bernard Shaw, said he, “A man after 40 is a rascal, he is the unable to think properly”. Where Vijay stands now since he is 10 years more than the prescribed age by Shaw to think properly? Vijay talks big but in reality it is all empty, he is guilty of going against his own promise of never to join the BJP but finally he along with his other two colleagues joined BJP and embraced Parricar after speaking so bad of him and moreover shamelessly taking pleasure in saying that he “joined BJP because of Parricar who was a good man”. Hello Vijay Sardesai, at this point of time you came to know the goodness of Parricar? What a surprise!! It is unacceptable, what right Vijay Sardesai has to say so when he disgraced Parricar so badly in and out of the Legislative Assembly? Vijay acted like a kid without any responsibility, such acts of betrayal are normally committed by people coming from hoi-polloi background and surely not from an affluent, educated, decent, intellectually and culturally rich family background. Many people supported Vijay only because of the grandeur of the intellectual richness of his family members including that of his late uncle and my friend in Konkani movement the gigantic literary figure Ravindra Kelekar. Vijay like a "ded xanno" said he joined BJP because Parricar was a good man but again on the same basis if another good person like Parricar comes in place of Sawant, will Vijay join him also by being double traitor?
Vijay is a crook of first grade, if he joined Parricar only because of his love for Parricar then why he along with his three "Tails" did not submit their resignations immediately following the death of Parricar and thus show to everybody that he was the real son of his real father? BTW, who knows Vijay and his group voluntarily withdrew from the BJP or were told to Get Out by Sawant or by the BJP High Command?
Vijay Sardesai is now asking forgiveness from the people of Goa for the crime he committed by joining BJP. Let the entire Goan population forgive him but as politically upright man and as a real son of my real father and not a Bastard, I say there should be no forgiveness for Vijay for betraying the trust the innumerable voters had in him and his party. He must first ask forgiveness from his party president and my gentleman educationist friend Prabakhar Timble who introduced me to Vijay Sardesai but ultimately Vijay ignored Timble. However, Vijay if forgiven, what guaranty is there he will not repeat the same crime of betraying? Since the next election is coming soon, Vijay is playing his trick of indicating his remorse to rebuild his image but worst damage has been done already by Vijay Sardesai and his other colleagues.
While concluding, let me express my deep concern for my beautiful Goa which was in the name of Liberation on 19th December 1961 forcibly annexed by using the powerful military comprising appoximately 20,000 personnel to fight against the approximately 5000 military personnel of Portugal comprising Portuguese soldiers from Portugal and some Negroes from the Portuguese colonies namely Angola and Mocambique and hardly a few Goans. I feel it was the great mistake of our elders and Freedom Fighters not to demand the already promised Plebiscite by Nehru in the Parliament and repeated the same promise in Bombay. Our Freedom Fighters failed us in all the ways by standing still when they should have sprintingly demanded all the facilities for Goa including the previllge of Special Status from the Nehru government. These Freedom Fighters acted like kids because they were made happy by the pensions that they got from the Government. If I were a freedom fighter, I would never accept the Tamrapatra neither the Pension even if it is one lakh of rupees per month because I would rate my efforts as the freedom fighter as priceless that cannot be compensated with Tamrapatra and Pension unless I in the name of freedom movement I was indulging in robbing the innocent Goans as some of the so called freedom fighters did in Siolim and Assagao which was converted as the headquarter of Chor freedom fighters under the supervision of one Hindu Dukonkar; in killing innocent Goans like the way they the criminal freedom fighters abducted from his home the Goan Christian Regidor from Siolim and was brutally killed. I would flatly refuse the Tamrapatra and pension because my work in the freedom movement would remain supreme and not compensatable with a Certificate and money.
