GREATNESS OF UTUBE IN THE ABSENCE OF TIATROS.

It is said, necessity is the mother of all inventions. This is what has happened for our Konkani Musical Art where Tiatro and songs are concerned which are remained under suspension due to the Corona Virus.  Though the government and political leaders who are on loot spree of Goan wealth for their own benefits they thought in the prevailing situation they will be the  Monarchs of what they survey.  While they were expressing their happiness since no Tiatrists will be able to expose these Goa “Chors” since Tiatrists are the only opponents whom they are afraid.  When they were celebrating their opportunities to grab Goa for them and for their future    generations suddenly the UTube development created an opening for the Tiatrists to reach to everyone not in Goa only but all over the World as well.  Thru this UTube outlet, there is too much of congestion to release their songs not only on political topics which captivate the hearts of Goans but also on other social and family topics.  The power of this campaign is become more energetic and for this reason everybody is going to check the UTube, however, it must be borne in mind that most of these songs are qualitatively  very high deserving topmost compliments for the singers as well as for the lyricists. 

Being at home round the clock under Lockdown situation, I spend more time on watching UTube, then I thought why should I not do the write-up on these especially some of those best songs and advise my readers to see these songs on UTube in which case those who are interested they watch the UTtube  and the producers will get their songs the much needed exposure.

One of the most shining stars of Konkani songs currently is Sonia Sirsat the beauty of Konkani and Goan  Musical world.  I first saw her some time back when she was rendering a Portuguese Fado during the reception hosted at Bambolim for the visiting Premier of Portugal where I was also an invitee. Her voice and other singing attributes are rightly meant for the Fado and also for our Mando.  But what I see her now singing on UTube with such a perfection of Konkani Stage singer that she has attained her peak as a singer very beautifully.  Her presentation, actions and modulation and dress code are perfectly well synchronizing. Her one song a solo “Birthday Special” she renders so well with her smiling face that such an excellent song, excellent tune, excellent composition by Samy Tavares I heard only once in C. Alvares Tiatro “Jurament” when I was very young and it rendered by the then beauty queen of Konkani Stage Miss Mohana.. In this song Sonia easily captivates the hearts of all the viewers, her beautiful voice and attractive looks with smiling face give an added booster to this beautiful song.  The credit goes also to her mentor and lyricist Sammy Tavares who must have given a very good direction to her.  In fact of late I noticed vast improvement in Tavares where his songs are become a powerful weapon to educate the Goans in different topics. He at the moment is a great asset for our Tiatros and Songs.
