Finally the organization “GOENCHO EKVOTT “ is formed as declared in Herald of 21.07.20. This is imperative at this hour since when facing the issues of high calamity Goans join together under one common Umbrella.
Being good fighters for justice for them, Goans perform well when joined together and precisely because of this quality Goans won the the Opinion Poll, Konkani Language, Statehood and many other battles. This attitude is deeply ingrained in their blood and even when they are abroad they do the same by even risking their jobs. For example, when Goans from the Gulf especially from Kuwait realised that they must come to the rescue of their counterparts in Goa fighting for the cause of Konkani language, Kuwait Goans discarding all their differences and parochial enmities, joined together in mid 1979 and formed their own group that received allegiance from all others involved Konkni activities and collected and sent lakhs of rupees to Goa to fight the Konkani cause.
Now, “Goencho Ekvott” is assured of their full support by the innumerable Goan associations to fight anti-Goan projects by the Government, because of their ill effects on Goa. It is imperative to fight the enemies of Goa who are destroying Goa in the name of development which is a pure Hitlerian lie. I too lend my strong support GE on behalf of all my like minded Kuwait returnees especially all my warrier friends who struggled so much for the cause of Goa and Goans.
I have noticed that we Goans are first class in initiating something but last class in maintaining it. We easily go into disarray because of our leaders’ selfishness for gaining cheap prominence and the greed for illicit money. It is our leaders who let us down because it is our tragedy that we don’t get good and reliable leaders. See our politicians how they disgrace Goa thru defection, see the lakhs of rupees we sent for Konkani promotion and also for the Costruction of One Cancer Hospital etc. There is no accountability of such a huge amount we sent from Kuwait. My request all involvd in GE to be upright.
