What ails our justice system and the system of investigation officially and legally conducted by the government bodies at the initial stages and at the lower level courts? Take for example, when the late Shushant Singh Rajput’s body was found hanging dead in his apartment, the Bombay Police known for its efficiency concluded their investigation saying it was a case of suicide. When the concerned persons found it difficult to believe, there came the demand for handing over this case for perfect investigation to CBI, In fact when Bombay Police gave its report it should have been blindly accepted by everyone because that was the credibility of Bombay Police till recently. But now, no, people lost their confidence in Bombay Police. Why this poor image of Bombay Police now? Is it because it is manned by the juveniles without proper knowledge of how to conduct the investigation or there was the pressure on Bombay Police from the higher authorities to give the final verdict as this was a Suicide case? According to the information available, all the relevant authorities did not spare any single government department nor any single government servant involved in this investigation from supporting the Police Force in toeing the line of Bombay Police Force. By doing this subjugation it looks the higher-ups in Bombay to fulfill their wishes of covering up of the truth converted everyone involved in this investigation as their slaves.
When Fr. Bismark was found dead, according to the local Police investigation there was no foul play involved but here too the people refused to accept the investigation report from the local Police Force with a demand to hand over this case to CBI but the concerned authority refused thus leaving the investigation undone by the CBI as per the required norms, as informed. In this way, the conspiracy surrounding the death of Fr. Bismark remained unsolved as per the supporters of Fr. Bismark thereby giving credence to the allegations rightly or wrongly that the authority concerned purposedly refused to involve the CBI to protect the exposure and disclosure exactly of “Hand of God or of Maradona” in scoring the mysterious goal against England. Such a mysterious goal was never scored in the history of soccer. Why the people demanded CBI’s investigation? Was it not because people got more confidence in CBI?
It is a pity that there is no proper government branch on whom you can rely and as far as judiciary is concerned, many times the verdict passed by the lower Court is rejected by the losing party that goes for Appeal to the Higher Court or even to the Supreme Court. This indicates the doubtful verdict passed by the lower Court which it looks manned by the inefficient personnel whose verdict is full of flaws.
I am in no way the supporter of colonialists Portuguese, they are the culprits for making us suffer so much but I very much admire their system and laws and because of this the implementation and execution of the laws were very prompt and appropriate. If the robberies and crimes and murders that occurred in Goa after they were ousted from Goa had to take place in Goa during their rule in Goa, I am sure none of these crimes – murders – robberies would go undetected as we see so many now remained undetected. Why this is? Because our Indians are corrupt and to practice this corruption they ignore the application of laws properly and thus so many cases are remained unsolved. For this reason, many of our elders died by cursing the worst law and order system implanted in Goa, some of our elders even on their death beds they cursed this system for creating a mess of Goa and Goans.
