In his speech, Elvino Rodrigues gave a brief history of the activities of G-K.S.C. in Goa and in Kuwait and how it gained goodwill for Goans in Kuwait. He especially stressed on the excellent work A. Veronica performed single handedly in the promotion of goodwill between Goans and Kuwaitis thru the activities of G-K.S.C. Fr. Gabriel Dias once a resident priest of Kuwait Church spoke very philosophically on the subject of Pains of invasion suffered by all those affected by the invasion.  Manuel Fernandes spoke on the subject of the benefits of our employment in Kuwait while Philip Dias spoke on the new association of Gulf Goan Returnees which is being formed under the initiative of A. Veronica Fernandes.  Preliminary work has already been done and shortly it will be registered with the appropriate authority and membership drive will be initiated to involve in it Gulf Goan returnees in Goa.

Prof Sergio Carvalho in his powerful speech which was listened with rapt attention by the audience, highlighted on the ill effects on Goa since the ouster of Portuguese from Goa. He lamented that in the name of liberation which is a misnomer while correct word is a Conquest as per the Supreme Court of India, all suppression is imposed on Goans by the conquerors even to the extent of denying special status to Goa which he felt Centre will never give.

A.     Veronica Fernandes said that on 19th December 1961 Goa was not liberated but invaded by the government of India. He said the liberation of Kuwait is totally different from Goan liberation where we have no true freedom to decide our affairs.  He said the first Goan to fight for Goa’s liberation were Pintos from Candolim thru the Pintos Revolt initiated by the Catholic Priests.

It was great to see two Kuwait Goans, namely Mario Rebello and Raymond  D’Sa coming from Kuwait to attend this meeting while many other Goan visitors from Kuwait were seen drinking in the Bars and Tavernas like Bebdes.  Many of the ex Kuwait Goans who tasted Chicken and Lobsters only after going to Kuwait like born “Beiman” refrained from attending this Meet.  Still others who made money from Kuwait and acquired benefits from Kuwait refused to attend to this meeting when they gained so much from Kuwait employment.  On top of it they claim to be Christians when they fail to perform Christian principles. Overwhelming majority of Kuwait Goans are such rubbish Beiman, many of them  got girls to marry only because of their employment in Kuwait. If it was not for Kuwait many of us would rot in Goa unwanted.

As usual, the real Beiman Padris and Madris even after receiving so much of benefits from Kuwait failed to show their faces in the meeting hall. These Beiman Padris and Madris are possessed by the Devils for this reason they acted as traitors to Kuwait benefits.

It was a pity that none from the Tiatro circle attended this meet, especially from among those who worked and earned so much in Kuwait. And also those who visited Kuwait and gained so much from Kuwait.
