Antonio meu amigo,
Its a great article on goa - Kuwait solidarity meet held in Panjim on 26.02.15 to mark the liberation day of Kuwait. The facts cannot be denied, I was surprised to know that you alone are spending your own money to hold these meetings. What about others who are living retired life in Goa and those who are still making money in Kuwait? Are they not grateful to Kuwaiti? It looks you are the lone voice of Kuwait Goans.
keep up the good work.

A. VERONICA COMMENTS: Thank you Jerry for your good words. If it was not for me, there would never be Solidarity with Kuwait movement that fetched Kuwait Goans lot of dividends and yet they are shamelessly "BEIMAN". It is Kuwait that made them something in life. They talk big and act big but otherwise they are born small and would remain small only if it was not for their employment in Kuwait. In my own village majority of Kuwait Goans ex and current are like Ladrus and Pedrus having no proper home discipline to indicate their gratitude to the country from where they earned so much. I feel ashamed of their "Ghaum-bhaupon".
Some of the ex and current Kuwait Goans expect me to approach them for help. I am not a beggar to do that and they are not sucking breasts of their mothers to be ignorant to know what it costs to organize such events. One cannot expect something worthwhile from people coming from hoi-polloi class which is of majority of Kuwait Goans.

GOA-KUWAIT SOLIDARITY MEET & KUWAIT GOANS.
A. Veronica addressing the Meet
Last month on 26th, we under Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Center celebrated the liberation day of Kuwait by holding a public meeting in Panjim at the Chamber of Commerce Hall. The meet was attended by only 70 persons instead of 700 or 7000 and from these 70 persons, half the number from non-Kuwait returnees circle. Since I returned from Kuwait last year, I am organizing this function to show our gratitude to Kuwait from where we earned our livelihood and established ourselves comfortably financially.
Fr. Gabriel Dias seen speaking
Some people especially ex Kuwaitkars in Goa are questioning my prerogative to hold these Meetings as if I am committing a sin by doing so. As a matter of fact to organize these Meets I am alone spending thousands of Rupees from my own pocket, I am not asking any financial help from anyone nor from any of the current Kuwitcars or Kuwait returnees.
Manuel Fernandes seen speaking
With the intention of sharing even a small portion of expenditure, none even asking me whether any help is needed though they are boasting of their financial empire which they built only because of their employment in Kuwait otherwise many of them would live like paupers.
Prof. Sergio Carvalho
There are thousands of Goans in Kuwait and they are the direct beneficiaries of the goodwill of Kuwaitis in Kuwait of our Meetings in Goa on 26th February. Even they are not contributing anything but some of them are talking against holding these meetings.
Peggy Pereira proposing Vote of Thanks
Without Kuwait they would be nothing in life. No Indian community is organizing such Meets in India except Goan community for this reason there is more goodwill generated for Goans in Kuwait. Neither any nationality anywhere in the World.
Elvino Rodrigues seen speaking
What would be the future of overwhelming majority of Kuwait Goans, current and returnees, if it was not for their employment in Kuwait? They had no bright future for this reason they should be grateful to Kuwait. What Goa and India could not provide them, the country Kuwait provided them.

That does not mean in Kuwait Heavenly Mannas are falling for us, that does not mean in Kuwait we are getting easy money, no, we are working very hard with topmost sacrifices with lot of pains and sufferings, with lot of humiliations and insults, yet we are surviving and doing well. For this reason I am grateful to Kuwait though I too suffered a lot in Kuwait like many and that does not deter me from accepting the truth that if today what I am, it is only because of Kuwait.
Observing silence
But do our people realize this truth? Majority of them ”NO”. They are “Beiman” of first grade because they are coming from third rate character without disciplined family background and lacking in moral character. It is a pity to see that the character of these Kuwait Goans present and ex is so bankrupt. There are no greater selfish people in the world as ex and current Kuwait Goans, of course with the exception a few.
Even when we organized the public rallies in Panjim following the invasion of Kuwait in 1990, very few people attended this rally because the remaining Kuwait returnees thought it was useless to participate in that rally because Kuwait was already annexed to Iraq. But when we organised the second rally immediately following the liberation of Kuwait overwhelming majority of Kuwait returnees took part in this rally because of selfish motto that is, to return to Kuwait.
