Today at Kala Academy Panjim, at 1 0.30 am, I saw the Tiatro “BHOGOS MHAKA”, written and directed by Com. Domnick. Though it was not attended by the capacity crowd yet it was very well enacted being one of the best in this year and in this season too.
The story was very well written which is very educative especially for our young girls who are gullible to go after any boy without thinking of the outcome. It gives a very good lesson for our young girls. ... On the other side the story also gives a very good lesson for the widows how to protect themselves from the amorous approaches from the rich men who try to exploit the financial weakness of the widows.
At moment the story takes such a tragic turn that many in the audience started crying especially when the mother comes to know that her son does odd job to make money in the absence of his dead father. In this episode the role played by Precilla as mother and by Elly as son were worth admiring. They were the examples of past Tiatrists of which type we rarely see now. This is hidden talent which should be exposed more and more. The story ends with the murder of the loafer boy played nicely by Anil Pednecar who sexually assault the girl and whose brother kills the loafer boy and finally asks forgiveness saying “BHOGOS MHAKA”.
The comedy part was excellently performed by both the comedian brothers Domnick and Bachan. They both jointly produced peals of laughter in the hall. Their comedy was very philosophical and technical. With this comedy they satisfied the attendance.
The Side Show songs lacked the normally required push yet Olga, Ron, Leslie, Elly, both the comedian brothers and Anil rendered good songs, namely solos, duets, duos and trios. However, according to some in the audience, a few of these songs were rendered earlier in this same hall.
More interest went to the solo rendered by Ron who described the monopoly and also dadagiri of 5 unnamed Tiatrists who want to control the Tiatro industry. According to Ron this monopoly of 5 should be abolished.
