To vote or not to vote? It is a big question for many who are disappointed with the democratic procedure we are following and also due to the mess we are put in by our elected representatives. As a matter of fact, it is our duty to vote, those who refuse to vote are sadly mistaken.. The choice should be between the lesser and greater evils though both are evils. By refusing to vote we will give advantage to greater evil to increase his tally and when elected he will do all nonsense. If money is doled, please accept but vote only for the candidates of your choice. It is a sin for money giver and not for recipient – to quote Dr. Jack Sequeira during the Opinion Poll. The money that candidates distribute is a looted money and genuine Christians will commit a sin if they sell their votes for monetary gains. Such deals are anti-Christian.
When voting for Independent candidates, please get a firm publicly declared promise that they will remain as independents only without aligning with any party once elected. Men like Avertano and Ticlo should be reprimanded for aligning with communal party BJP and should be warned by their voters. With their support BJP destroyed Goa and worked against the interest of Christians. Under BJP, Christians are living in fear and our Christian MLA’s and Ministers are watching this as silent spectators. They are like Judases and at an appropriate time they will commit suicide, if not they then their children but punishment must surely come as it came on Judas. Everybody supporting anti-Christian parties will be punished appropriately. Those Catholics supporting anti-Christian Communal Parties are committing a crime against their own religion, they are not true Catholics among whom there are some priests as well whose services faithful must boycott because they are not supporters of Christianity.
By all means communal parties should not be voted, if they get power they will liquidate minorities, especially the Christians in Goa as evidenced from the recent past experience we had. The trend now devised by the communal parties is to treat minorities including the Christians as second class citizens even by controlling their religious activities. Religious minorities should stop associating with communal parties. They must know it is a sin for them to support those candidates whose parties are all out to destroy the Christians and other minorities. The leaders of minority communities must preach openly and loudly from their Temples that to support the communal parties in the coming election is like betraying their religions. And Catholics in Goa will be betraying Jesus Christ by associating and supporting the communal parties.
It is not enough to develop and build the roads and bridges but the real development lies in building the trust of minorities in the majority communities, in Goa to live peacefully secured life. In Goa, those Catholics who are siding with the enemies of Christians and still performing their religious rites and duties in the Church are shameless Catholics. They cannot serve two masters like being Catholics on one side and Hindu Christians on the other side just as they cannot perform Hindu Pooja by wearing the” Puddvem” on one side and receive the Holy Communion on the other side. Those who are boasting of developing roads are selfish because by doing so they got huge amount of commission from the Contractors. This is not the development but the robbery and for such robbers we must reject in the coming election.
