Dear Kranti Editor,
Please publish this letter to the editor in Kranti.
Thank you and all the best to you.
Anthony Vaz.
This is in response to Aaron's letter in Kranti. I wish to make some points that the writer failed to highlight. I would lay the blame at Mickey Pachecho's door.
At the outset I would say that since Mickey is a public figure and as such he should lead by example.Everyone knows his marital status. So what is wrong in calling a spade a spade? He should have divorced his wife and then started a family as a responsible citizen and as a public figure. And if he is so sensitive and protective of his children. If people are criticising him today, it is because he has asked for it.
So when he was starting a family out of wedlock, he should have carefully weighed the consequences, including the future of his children. Ultimately, it is sometimes the parents actions' that indirectly affect the credibility of their wards.
The bigamy that he has perpetrated is condemnable in the strongest possible terms.
Had it been a common man the grapevine would have gone into overdrive. So there are again double standards here as far as our society is concerned. It is okay for a rich person to commit bigamy. This is the message we are sending out right??? Moreover, I wouldn't believe a word of Mickey given his tainted past rife with sex and lies.
How can they arrest someone without any concrete evidence? By doing so, they made a complete mockery of our democratic system.
Hope the tiatrists will close ranks and support their fellow artistes.
Remember today it is Francis....tomorrow it could be someone among you. Wake up before it is too late!!!
