This is isin response to the recent interview in Prudent Media Channel, of Michael Lobo, the Calangute Constituency representative, on “Brexit will affect Goans”, I fully disagree with his statement saying that the way we hate “bhaile” in Goa so also outsiders settled in UK are also hated. Here I point out when Michael Lobo says that “the way WE (including Michael Lobo) hate outsiders ” ……. It is NOT correct for Michael Lobo to include himself also in the bracket of those Goans who hate the “bhaile” because Michael Lobo who as known is the strong supporter of “bhaile” and not the hater, the proof of it can be obtained from my neighbourhood at Araddy Vaddo, Candolim, where there is a niche created as a residential place for them with the help of the 2 former defeated Congress candidates and it is called “Ghanttianchi Araddy” which is the strong citadel of these “Bhaile”.
Then Michael Lobo said “he is very happy because of Brexit outsiders (including Goans}, in UK will be opposed”. I object to this statement full of arrogance and pride normally associated with those who acquired unimaginable wealth within unimaginable shortest time, thru fair or unfair means.
Then Michael Lobo went on saying that he would prefer the Goans to go there as other Goans are going to the Gulf countries without surrendering their Indian citizenship which is with regards to Goans I must say that the Indian Citizenship was imposed on Goans by the “Bharat Serkar” immediately following the invasion of Goa, by the Bahrat Serkar of Nehru, without the consent of the local Goans and by discarding the principle of NON VIOLENCE” as propounded by Gandhiji. In fact Ghandiji opposed the use of violence and Military force to annex Goa but discarding this principle of Non Viooence, Nehru sent about 20 thousands of Indian soldiers to invade Goa and they not only invaded Goa without any resistance from the approximately 5000 Portuguese Troop stationed in Goa among whom a few were Goans but some of these Indian soldiers have so disgracefully molested and raped our females even by dropping a bomb on one of the victim's houses to satisfy his lust, somewhere in Cortalim, as it was given to understand during that time.
Moreover some of these very same soldiers robbed our Goan Shops in the cities as it was robbed at Mapusa Market Shops owned by all our Hindu brothers “Negociantes” who were just a few days back welcoming the invaders with the slogan of Jai Hind but now started hating their new masters who robbed them of their goods mainly the electronics such as Radio Sets, Sun Glasses, Watches, Pens and other valuables of foreign make, such items even their grand fathers have not seen.
One of the Shopkeepers said in anger at that time, “he dolldire Bharati soldiers itle volkott mhon aum zanna re? He atam ghaltelet amchem padd. Amchem adlench Portuguezanchem raj borem aslem. Anvem tankam welcome dilem Jai Hind and Jai Bharat toxench mhonnon Nehru Zindabad and Salazar Murdabad ti moji ek vhodd chuck zali. Makam dista atam porot mhonnonk Viva Portugal ani Zalazar Zindabad”.
Then to refute Lobo’s other statement when he said these Goans instead should go to the UK the way Gulf Goans are going to the Gulf. Lobo must know that the situation to go to the Gulf countries is totally different from the UK because in the Gulf you can even get a Visa for any category by paying money in the Black Market run by the locals only. You can obtain it as NOC as anything professionally and once you reach to the Gulf you need not work as per the indicated profession in your Passport. Besides many of the Goans dont like Indian citizenship for this reason Salazar following the invasion of Goa by Bharat said “these Indians will treat MY Goans irrespective of their religions, like third class people and the Indians will create hurdles on their way even to get the jobs for the Goans to live a decent life in Goa because Indians will prefer outsiders from outside Goa to replace Goans thus converting the genuine Goans as unwanted in their own land”. Very prophetic words of Salazar seen coming to reality.
Regarding Lobo, he would have been the first person to sprint to the Portuguese Consulate in Panjim to get him the Portuguese Passport if he was not successful in politics, he tells all these stories now because his stars helped him to come up in life. When one talks pride and it reaches to the peak then one falls speedily because “ghorvak ani sorgak bhett na mhonn”. Only the hungry person knows the depth of hunger and to overcome it he goes anywhere to gain his livelihood without even caring for his nationality. If his nation and Ministers are interested in him then they should provide him the necessary job otherwise they should shut their mouths.
It would be admiring gesture if Michael Lobo had to work for getting the benefit of Dual Citizenship or something closer to that so that the mobility of those poor Goans who want to go to EU countries and UK thru Portuguese Passports will have easy access to go there without losing their Indian citizenship.
Michael Lobo since elevated to the Ministership is talking like an omnipotent on anything and everything and tomorrow if he is elevated to be the CM (which is impossible unless he is converted to Hinduism), I don’t know what will be his role. By nature he is smart and because it is so he is become a source of jealousy for some in his Constituency who are trying to dethrone him and in this campaign there are a few of his own circle. However, it must be known that the people like him as MLA’s and Ministers came so many and gone also so many and finally disappeared into wilderness so many, some of them were gigantic who are now become like Cockroaches because without political power these politicians including Michael Lobo) are like fish out water. Because of their pride they came down crashing. He should only see the pitiable plight of both of his predecessors, knocked out of power thru piercing defeats at the hands of those very same voters who brought them to power earlier and who finally voted them out. Both of them are become like unknown in their own locality now. Why this humiliation to both of them? Is it a God’s punishment? Because they were acting as Lords in front of their own people? They never thought to be humble and disciplined because these attributes were not thought to them. They thought power will remain with them eternally and with this in mind they were acting and behaving with their own people like they were creatures from outer planet.
Hi Mike, I don’t want your fate to become like that of your predecessors for this reason I caution you not because I dislike you but only because you are otherwise a kind hearted person having a soft corner for the poor because you were once upon a time a poor, as you disclosed openly during a public meeting in Candolim. "Ami sounsarant zaite pavtt fattim urleat kiteak amkam sarkem “guidance” mellonk na mhonn"
.
Then here too I disagree with Lobo when he said "we must instead of doing Portuguese Passports and take the road to UK, we must do some business. Here I disagree with him because the system of starting and doing the business in Goa is not conducive to every Goan especially to those who opt for the UK on Portuguese Passports. As a Minister what Michael Lobo has done to create facilities for Goan youth to start the business in Goa leave aside to get employment? Mike it is easy to sermonize like Roman Catholic Priests from the Altar, because you are a “Montri” now and precisely because of this people give you a little hearing otherwise they will say "To Hell with you" and reject your sermons. What is your capacity to provide jobs for the locals? Do you have blue print prepared for this? On the eve of your last election you came to our houses for our votes but after that you disappeared and evaporated like Ether but you will resurface again on the eve of your next election which will be held after some more months.
Finally, we have now a new group of Goans known as “REVOLUTIONARY GOANS” that promised to give their maximum support to those Goans who are at the mercy of Ghanttis. Recently at Sinquerim in Candolim one well built Ghantti who is running a Shop, hit so badly one of our local young Goans with a “Dandda” that our Goan brother finally landed in GMC with the broken shoulder bone and from there he was discharged after a week. Surprisingly, not a single leader or prominent figure from Candolim raised his voice and condemned this incident of “dadagiri”, not even the former people’s representatives nor the present. All are maintaining their silence as if “Makam kitek poddlam?”. There is not a single leader in my locality and Constituency to think serious of this case?
In view of this, I request the Revolutionnary Goans to take up this matter very seriously and go to his Shop and demand explanation from him why he hit our Goan brother. If today the Ghanttee is allowed to go Scot free, tomorrow he and others of his like will take more advantages of our silence. In no way we can sleep over this incident.
