According to the one news item appeared in the front page of Times of India dated today, Lokayukta P.K. Misra has directed investigation on complaint filed against Chandrakant Kavlekar the State Deputy Chief Ministter of Goa who was one of the 10 defectors from Congress to the BJP, regarding alleged disproportionate assets, money laundering and matka.
Further to this news I must also request from the Lokayukta and persons who are involved in cleansing the system of illicit acquisition of wealth disproportionate to their income, our other politicians and Ministers should also be probed. Some of our Ministers and MLA’s from their exorbitant expenses they do on their luxurious ways of living, one can easily draw his conclusion that his involvement in acquiring money thru unfair means. This means he sets a bad example for others to follow him since he creates a bad figure of himself as a role model. Because of such bad role models our Goa is suffering since there is no good person among the public figures to act upright to depict as a good disciplined person. In the absence of such good persons in public life, our youngsters follow in the foot-steps of our corrupt leaders and public figures finally destroying the best part of our society.
It is very disturbing to know that one top politician from Bardez who till a few years back was nobody not only in Goa but not even in his own village, accidentally got a political push thru which he got elected and became not only an MLA but even one of the Cabinet members and now he is acting like a Lord and having about 10 Conncubines, most of them he kept under his control by using his money, physical and political power. The money he spends after them is very lavish whcih looks beyond his official income. Hence, such persons should be probed.
If possible, all the Ministers and MLA’s and Panchayats should be probed for their disproportionate assets. Not a single top politician who is holding the Cabinet rank should be left unprobed because they have accumulated huge amount of illicit money thru bribe and thru such dirty means. When an MLA gets an opportunity to get a portfolio for him he sees to it that he gets the lucrative portfolio not to serve the people’s needs but to rob the people because certain portfolios fetches you automatically the good amount of money thru bribe receipts. And all those portflio holders like bloody Rostad are harassing the people. Hence, it is of imperative need to conduct the probe on their finance to prove how much he gets black money and white money
