KUWAIT KONKNNI KENDR IN AID OF KONKANI MARTY MONUMENT REPAIR WORK.

Whenever Goans went abroad in search of new jobs they first form their associations in the name of Goa or Konkani, Gulf countries namely Kuwait, Bahrainm Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman and UAE are strictly speaking the countries fall in the Gulf countries which are managed by Oil based economies and as such they are very rich because Oil is very expensive commodity. Kuwait is one of the Oil rich countries in the world where first time Oil was explored in 19thirties but extracted in mid fifties after the end of the great and disastrous last World War II and when it was commercialised and  money started flowing like water into the Coffers of these countries, there came a need of employing of more manpower..

Kuwait started hiring plenty  of Goans who when their number was swelled, Goans first time formed their first association called Goan Association at Ahmadi, then came some more and in 1981 Kuwait Konknni Kendr was formed with the initiative of few like minded Goans. During last so many years KKK organised lot of activities and helped many  Konkani causes in Goa and now all its members are retired from Kuuwait, whatever little fund of KKK remaining with it in Kuwait they brought it to Goa.

From this fund , KKK gave some amount to repair the Monument of  7    Konkani Martyrs at Agacaim in the Church Compound.  The work for this project is going on and on 30.07.21 KKK members in Goa saw the progress  of the work where even the village Sarpanch Ms Emmy joined them and thanked KKK for taking  up this project.
