     BHARADIK KHURIS - TIATRO

ON 22nd of this month, I saw the Tiiatro “Bharadik Khuris” written and directed by one of the topmost Tiatrists and an ace comedian Prince Jacob, in Candolim at Orda St. Sebastiao,, starting at 8.00 PM and attended by a good number of audience. This was on the occasion of the feast of the Chapel of St.Sebastiao which is celebrated every year on 20th of January.

The story of this Tiiatro is very much relevant today since it is written at an appropriate time when our children are filling the Old Age Houses or Asilos with their parents and other elders. These children how they treat their aged parents by using them to get their money and then dumping them in the Asilos is very pitiable. Since this Tiatro is going on in many parts of Goa, I refrain from disclosing the whole story which should be seen by the Tiatro lovers by physically witnessing such a wonderful story made by the director.
Every artiste played his/her role well but special mention must be made for Candida and the man who played her husband’s role, Valency de Calangute, Avers Pereira and Jude Michael Gracias and in comedy part Prince Jacob introduced Jadu/Magic type of comedy to the delight of every AUDIENCE and he was well supported by Oswin and Evona. Both the last two named have got good future on Konkani Stage.
The Side Show songs were good but Avers Pereira’s solo on our lady of Perpet Sucur Saibinmae deserve highest marks for his excellent composition, singing and presentation.
As a whole, this Tiaitro is worth seeing. Well done Prince Jacob and his entire troupe.
A.Veronica Fernandes.
