"BAILEK DUKH - KUMARIK SUKH"
TIATRO BY CONCEPTION DE TUEM.
On 10th of this month, Monday, at 3.30 pm at Kala Academy Hall, Panjim, I saw the new Tiatro ”Bailek Dukh – Kumarik Sukh”, written and directed by Conception de Tuem. It was attended by a less number of attendees as hall was seen almost half empty.
Rons singing his solo
The story was well writtenbased on disrupted family life because of the unfaithful husband and it was enacted also well by all the artistes who took part in the play. However, better credit goes to Jose who played the role of an unfaithful husband and Olga who played an excellent role of a dejected wife. She deserved highest compliments for rendering the last Canto with her serene voice very beautifully. By delivering this Canto so beautifully she exposed her yet another hidden talent. Seasoned artiste Pascoal Rodrgiues played his role of a father very well and yet another seasoned artiste Chitra played her role as a mother very appropriately.
A scene. Seen are Jane-Humbert-Jose-Sania
The comedy part was handled by Humbert and Luis Bachan and both of them managed to do the justice to their roles. They were ably supported in their roles by Jane (ex Kuwait). However, there was a small irritant in their comedy as it was sounded a bit vulgar at certain points when they released double meaning of their terminology. Such terminology brings the standard of the Tiatro down. Director has to be more careful in stopping such occurrences.
Olga seen rendering her solo
The Side Show songs were not up the expected level though Olga’s solo on local political scene was excellent deserving highest compliments. She is become now the darling of the audience thru her political solos. The solo rendered by Anil Pednecar on the importance of necessity of elderly people in the house was worth listening and emulating. Earlier Remmy Colaco used to render such songs but now that Anil Pednecar following in the footsteps of Remy Colaco is an excellent sign. To compose such songs one requires lot of maturity and wisdom. The other political solos rendered by the director Conception de Tuem and Saby de Divar were well applauded by the audience. Ron’s solo on Tiatrists was very bold and powerful. Pascoal Rodrigues solo was also liked by the audience.

As a whole, the Tiatro was good and well accepted by the audience.
